I had a great run today!
Everything seemed to 'align' properly.
- no knee pain
- nutritious breakfast
- perfect weather
- fun running partner
- scenic route
about 1 hour, 20 minutes = about 9.5 miles*
* One of these days I'm going to buy a watch and millage tracker, but for now using the clock in my car and the odometer work for me. :)

You need a Forerunner. Then you can obsess about the time and distance like I do. Check it every tenth of a mile during the races. :D
Sounds like things are humming along April Anne.
Running partner?
Great when it all comes together. Glad it was painfree!!!
I answered your shoe question on my blog and the post is about the Forerunner. I really like my 205. You can pick up the older styled 101 for under $100. I have even seen them at Target. You do have to replace the batteries. You could also save a bunch by getting the 201. It is the older style and has a rechargeable battery. The 101/201 style may look big but I actually sold more of them to women than men! No one ever complained about the size after they tried it. Ciao
the garmin 205 is *amazing*
if you don't want to invest in it (even though it's *amazing*), you could always use:

gmap is pretty accurate, and you could just use a stop watch for your time :)
good luck on marathon training :)
