Marathon?

I'm thinking about running a local, early fall marathon. It's probably too late to think about reaching my 4 hr. time goal for this one, but I need something to keep me motivated--besides the fact that I always seem to be fighting with my jeans. I have been debating the idea for a few weeks, but I really need to make my decision soon so I can start some serious training. I ran 9 miles on Monday. It was hot, sunny, and very slow going, but I loved it.
