It's a beautiful life...

Tomorrow is the Twilight Trail Race and although the forecast doesn't look good (47 degrees, 100% percent chance of rain) I'm sure it will be fun, especially with Bill and his wife being there.
Dianna left me this nice message; If I don't make it to the race - have a great time and try to stay upright when running past cute cadets. (because we all know what happened last year....apparently I can't run and check out guys at the same time or I end up falling on my face) :)

I couldn't make it. I broke down and had two tv dinners this past week.
:(

The weather has been perfect for running! I love running in the heat. Sure, it makes me slow...but I love it!

The 'dull ache' in my knee started again so I went back to therapy this past week. I can already feel an improvement. I have two more visits scheduled for next week and then my sacrum should be properly aligned again.

Happy Mother's Day to all the RBF mothers! Have a great weekend!

Posters

On Friday my third graders found out I was going to run a race this weekend. During their lunch period, they made posters for me. How cute! Here are two of them.

I love this one. Can you see the cow and elephant in the circles crossed out? Apparently, I'm supposed to run like a horse or plane. :)

Can you tell we just learned about similes? :)

5K Race

I ran a local 5K race today. It was a beautiful day, perfect for running. The race was relatively non-eventful, but it was fun because I met up with one of my old running partners from last year (John) and my new running partner and co-worker (Judy). It was her first race since high school and she did awesome. The three of us ran together and had a great time. Yeah for running partners!
[Of course I still miss the running chicks, but now we do better getting together for lunch] :)
